140 KG BLUE MARLIN
After a few disappointing days, with cries of `just missed` and 'shit lost again " we had today on the CAVALIER a very good fishing day.
At 13.10 PM, crew Abraham and Hafid spotted from their flybridge 2 diving birds.
When after a few minutes the boat came some closer the crew saw a Blue Marlin hunting behind a school of small fly fish.
Directly when the fish saw one of our lures she left their school with fly fish.
And after a few seconds it was Leighton Porter from the United Kingdom who hooked in with this strong North Atlantic fisghter.
Leighton needed about 30 minutes to bring his 1st Blue Marlin behind the deck of the boat.
Well done Leighton.
The crew estimated the fish at a weight of 140 kilos / 310 pounds.
Sorry for the bad quality of the photo's unfortunately I have used some cutted pictures from our video.
Hans
