2 Blues & 1 White

2 BLUE AND 1 WHITE MARLIN

Both boats reported today good catches.

It started this morning around 11 am when the crew of the CAVALIER reported a hook-up with a bill fish.
It was the lure of the Scottish angler Scott McFarlane which was taken by a `giant` Blue Marlin.
The battle lasted over an hour before the fish finally gave over.
Wow what a beautiful fish, which has been estimated by the crew at 650 to 700 pounds.

Also plenty of action this morning on the EXPLORAMAR
Here one of the fishermen on board had a hook up at 11.15 a.m with a White Marlin.
It was the rod of Keith Elliott, which angler needed 20 minutes before he could release this beauty again.

The lures were only 5 minutes back in the water when the crew reported a 2nd hook up.
It was this time a 300 pounds Blue Marlin which had taken the lure on Cees Pippings` rod.
Cees was fighting about 40 minutes, before he could release his first Blue Marlin ever caught,
Well done my big friend and congratulations again with this great catch.

Only 10 minutes later the crew reported a 3rd hook up and this time it was Petra's turn.
Also for her this fish could be her first Blue Marlin.
After one hour she fished the Blue Marlin besides the boat, the fish spit out the hook and disappeared again. Very bad, bad luck.
Unfortunately Petra, hopefully your turn is coming tomorrow !!
