Friday afternoon we had the Samsonsen family from Norway aboard the Cavalier
They had booked their fishing trip with the chance to catch Tuna or Marlin or maybe both
A few hundreds hunting seagulls were found soon enough, which suggested that there was a lot of baitfish.
It did not take long before we hooked up with 3 rods at the same time.
Only 15 mimutes later were 2 of the 3 hunting Albacores caught with weights around 20 kilos each.
A little later, they hooked up again, when the reel of one of the heavier rods starts screaming.
Woooooooooow, what a power.
This time it was a Blue Marlin, which gave really a brillant show and the fish could be photographed from all sides.
After a good fight, the crew of the Cavalier estimated this Blue Marlin at about 240 kilos.
The fish has been released in a very good condition.
Hereby our congratulations go to the Samsonsen Family.
Thanks for a lovely fishing trip.
