Today the second and last day of the Corona Cup IV was fished.
What worked during the first 3 editions remained a dream this time. Catching a Blue Marlin.
The battle was fought this time with catches of Skipjack tuna, which kept the tension until the last minute.
After the first day of fishing it was the Blue Marlin 3 that took the lead with 60pts, followed by the Cavalier with 40pts and the Fish-On with 30pts.
Today this suddenly took a surprising turn.
When the boats came into port at 5pm this afternoon, it was the Cavalier that had increased their total to a whopping 100pts.
The Fish-On also did good business and came to a total of 80 pts.
After a successful first day the Blue Marlin 3 dropped disappointingly from 1st to 3rd place, with a total of 70pts.
I would like to congratulate all the crews and of course the participating anglers.
These were:
Cavalier: Eric Pos and Han van der Graaf.
Fish-On: Johnny Slor.
Blue Marlin 3: Klaas Westerhof.
This 4th edition of the Corona Cup ended in Restaurant El Gaitero with a delicious meal and some refreshing drinks.
