660lb BLUE MARLIN LOST
Bas Schellekens and Peter van Berkel from Holland fished this morning their last of 4 booked charters on the boat EXPLORAMAR.
Their dream to catch on one of these 4 trips a Blue or White Marlin didn't came true.
They caught on this last fishing day some good sized Skipjack Tunas.
Thanks guys and hopefully your marlin will be there next year.
Much stress today on the CAVALIER which was chartered by the American angler Gentry Koepp.
Around 12.30 pm, Gentry hooked in with a huge Blue Marlin, which has been estimated by the crew at a weight of 650 lb.
The first 3 till 4 minutes the Marlin was only playing with the lures, before she was hooked well.
Unfortunately, because after 5 or 6 `great` jumps, she spit out the hook and we lost this beauty again.
Very bad luck.
Both boats saw during their trips big schools with hunting and feeding Skipjacks and Dordao's what give us a good feeling for tomorrow.
Hans
