SUPER GARFISH
Where they come from, I don't know, but that they give you a Super Sport that's for 100% sure.
Garfish with weights between the 500 and 2500 gram. Really on small spinning rods a crazy but also a super sport.
Yesterday it were the anglers Remco van de Berg (Photo of the Day 23/10), Jan van Hengel and his brother in law Gerrit who caught the three heaviest ones.
The `Monster` Garfish which was caught by Remco van de Berg was also a New Boatrecord.
The old record was since November 2001 on name of the Irish angler E.Clarke with a fish of 1900 gram.
Remco's Garfish had a weight of 2525 gram.
Well done Remco and congratulations again.
Jan hooked up and landed also an Atlantic Bonito and Petra v d Berg caught an Eagle Ray.
Marco Bos showed us today that the garfish were still there.
Peter Sortse is today our Photo of the Day with a good sized Angelshark.
In these last two fishing days we caught also many Eagle rays and some very heavy Sting rays.
We released all the Rays, Garfish and Angelshark.
