As reported earlier today in our Latest News, was on the boat CAVALIER a Blue Marlin tagged and released estimated at 190 to 200 kilos.
It was today also a fishing trip full of sizzling tension.
Early in the morning there were large schools of Albacore Tuna found but unfortunately a hook up of these fighters held off.
Around 12 p.m we had a strike and it was the lure on the left outrigger which was taken by a Blue Marlin.
Unfortunately we lost the fish and quickly it went back into the depths.
At 13.30 we hooked in with another a Blue Marlin.
It was the rod of Lee McCrath from England and he could now sit down in the fighting chair.
Upon rewinding the other lures, we suddenly hooked in with another marlin , which took also a few hundred meters of line.
But after some nice jumps we lost also this fish.
Lee was fighting about one hour with his Blue Marlin.
Congratulations again Lee with this great catch !!
Even today some activity in the other charter boats.
There was a private boat which mentioned to have released an approximately 300 kilos Blue Marlin.
A small 6 meter boat from Puerto de Mogan did well today and caught 5 Albacores.
There were several boats who missed hook ups from Albacores, Blue and White Marlins.
The professinal boats caught again thousands kilos of Alabcores
