2 BLUE MARLINS TAGGED AND RELEASED
Today we had a small party on board of the boat EXPLORAMAR who tagged and released this morning 2 Blue Marlins.
The boat was chartered this morning as a Part Charter by Cees and Petra Pipping from Holland and the 2 Swedish anglers Anders Jonsson and Bertil Johansson.
These 4 fishermen had booked our `Special Offer` package 2 from our website, so they are fishing also together during the next 3 days.
On these charters we are trolling with 4 - 50 lbs, 4 - 80 lbs and 1 - 130 lbs rods.
So each angler is fishing with 1 - 50 lbs, 1- 80 lbs and 25% of the trip with the 130 lbs rod.
At 10 am the boat hooked in with a Blue Marlin.
The fish had taken the lure of Anders rod and after a 300 meter run and some beautiful jumps, Anders could start his fight.
Anders needed 30 minutes to fish his dreamfish besides of the boat.
After the guests had taken some pictures it was captain Billy who tagged and released the fish.
Anders told me during the trip that this was his 1st Blue Marlin he ever caught.
He travelled 27 years around the world, was fishing in different big game center but he never caught a Blue Marlin.
Only 30 minutes after Anders catch, the crew saw another marlin, but now behind the lure of Cees his rod.
Unfortunately this fish wasn't really interested and disappeared again without touching the baitfish.
Bad luck Cees, beacuse also you are waiting still a long time to catch your Blue.
But this fishing trip wasn't finished at all!
At 12.35 pm it was Bertils turn.
Blue Marlin number 3 had taken the green colored Williamson lure of his 80 lbs rod.
Bertil told me the exact opposite of Anders story. For him was this his 1st big game adventure ever, so of course also his 1st Blue Marlin.
This is a dream for every fisherman ! His Blue Marlin has been estimated between 130 and 140 kg (310 lbs)
In this Latest News I like to congratulate the crew and the both fishermen again with this great success.
Hans
