DORADO EXPLOSION
Oh my God, what a great catch this morning on the boat EXPLORAMAR.
The boat was chartered by 3 Dutch anglers.
Joey Remmers, Paul de Boer and Jaap Webeling fished today their 2nd of 4 booked Full Charters.
Yesterday afternoon ended their 1st fishing trip unfortunately without fish, but it wouldn't be called fishing when every day should be like this.
The lines and lures where this morning barely in the water when they hooked in with their 1st fish.
It was a 20 lbs Dorado which had taken one of the lures.
It became soon clear that the boat was in the middle of a school with very big Dorado's
The crew started now directly by feeding the Dorado's with small sardines, to keep the school with fish as close as possible behind the boat.
It was now the turn of the fishermen Joey, Paul and Jack.
They fished with 20 and 30 lbs rods and reels.
After 80 minutes of screaming reels and jumping Dorado's, the battle was fought.
The smallest Dorado weighted 10.110 and the heaviest one 18.210 grams
This last and heaviest one was caught by Jaap Webeling.
Jaap broke with this catch also the `old` Blue Marlin Charters Record with 385 gram.
Congratulations again Jaap and welcome on the list of Record Anglers.
Also the CAVALIER was trolling today.
It was Peter Zeestraten from Holland who caught here a good sized 12 kilo Dorado.
Crew and anglers on board spotted also a Blue Marlin but unfortunately this billfish wasn't interested in the lures.
Tomorrow we will try it again
Hans
