Good start with lots of Atlantic Bonito and a New Record !

Because of the busy work was an update of our website, not previously happened.
But today I have found a moment of time to add the dozens photos which have been taken in the first week of January aboard the Cavalier.
This week was fished mainly on 'shallow` water so that the Amberjacks have made place to the North Atlantic Bonito
There were also caught several nice Barracudas and Morenes.
Since most species of rays and angel sharks around the Canary Islands are now one of the protecting fish is considered by Cavalier not to fish on these species.
But the curved rods in the different action photos show that the rays don't realise that there are protected.
These catches, which sometimes weigh tens of kilograms, are of course immediately released.
Yesterday, January 6, there was also a new record caught by British angler Sonny. He improved the old record of Trumpet fish with 1220 grams and put the new weight at 2715 grams.
Hereby I want to thank all the fishermen for the nice days on board of the Cavalier
