TOP BIG GAME RESULTS
Top fishing results again today in Puerto Rico, and really for the fishermen who were booked by the Blue Marlin Sport Fishing Company.
On two boats these angler were succesfull today.
The day starts with a little bad luck for the clients who had booked their trip on the Blue Marlin 3.
Because this boat had some engine troubles we replaced these clients to the Lucky Ruby G.
The Lucky Ruby G sails from Puerto de Mogan.
Owner and captain of the boat is the englishman Roger who is working onboard together with his son Andrew.
After only one hour we knewed that we had made the right decission.
At 9.45 o`clock the Lucky Ruby G hooked up a blue marlin on the rod from angler Jason Williams.
It tooks only 20 minutes for Jason to bring the fish besides of the boat.
The weight of the blue marlin was estimated by the crew at 250 kilo / 550 lb.
This morning I wrote in this Latest News about 350 kilo /775 lb. Sorry for this misunderstanding.
The reason was sure, the very bad connection which I had on my mobil-phone.
More info about the boat Lucky Ruby G you will find by clicking at the bottom of this page by: More Information.
Also the boat Cavalier caught today another blue marlin.
Yesterday they had bad luck that the marlin died behind the deck, today they tagged & released a blue marlin with an estimated weight of 230/250 kilo.
This marlin was caught by Kevin Bridson from Devon/England.
Include the catch of this last blue marlin, the Cavalier is at the moment the top boat for trolling in Puerto Rico.
They tagged and released the most blue marlin as so far in 2007 from all the boats who are leaving the ports of Gran Canaria.
Congratulations guys and go on with this good job.
The latest reports let us know that there today were 7 blue marlins hooked up.
2 blue marlins were tagged & released, 2 were killed and 3 boats lost there fish.
From the commercial boats we heard that they caught on the 10 till 12 miles zone good sized bigeye and yellowfin tunas
Maybe tomorrow ? You never know ?
Hans
