NEW RECORD ANGELSHARK
It was this morning Mathijs van Bree from Holland who caught on the boat CAVALIER a New Boat Record for the Monkfish / Angelshark.
Mathijs broke the `old` record, which stood since December 2002 on name of Mr D Blanche, with 23.350 gramms.
Today, 7 years and 10 month later the new record is on name of Mathijs van Bree with an Angelshark of 28.600 gramms / 63 lbs.
On our Photo of the Day you see, Mathijs with his friend Patrick (blue short) when they are showing the record fish.
Congratulations boys!
On this trip also lots of Seabreams and two Stingrays which has been caught by Patrick de Lang and Rob Regeling, both from Holland.
The EXPLORAMAR was booked today as a Part Charter, what means that they were trolling with 4 fishermen and 9 rods.
After the very successful fishingday (2 released marlins)last Saturday from the CAVALIER, the atmosthere on board was toppy.
At 9.20 am it was Mr van Reeth from Belgium who hooked in with a Wahoo.
Very badluck for him, because a few seconds before the fish was gaffed, she spit the hook out.
During the rest of this trip the fishing was very quiet and there has been caught only some small Skipjacks more.
Hans
